The USPEC exam is computer-based and can be taken at any location after an examinee has completed the USPEC-mandated registration of the computer-machine on which the exam is to be taken. The device/ machine registration and checks are carried out remotely by ExamStrong - the specialist exam management organization. Examinees sponsored by a university/ institution may have the option of taking their exam in a test-center especially and exclusively authorized for the university. Records of past exams suggest that examinees checking 65%-70% of their answers correct generally qualify for the award of CPEP. However, since a complex multi-variable algorithm is utilized to neutralize geographic performance skewers, the qualifying mark may not always stay pegged precisely between 65%-70%.
