Among the oldest and most experienced private equity firms in operation, Hellman & Friedman (H&F) was founded in 1984. Since then, the firm has invested in more than 100 companies and raised over USD 50 billion of committed capital, with an AUM of more than USD 90 billion as of July 01, 2021. Its investors include the largest US and international public pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, and university endowments.

H&F targets large-scale equity investments in companies in select sectors, seeking to build a concentrated portfolio of scale investments in particular industries.
